The Telegraph app launched in 2016. This was a huge step for the paper, as its natively run news app was a complete unknown to both the user and company. The aim was to attract a new audience and compete with modern news on mobiles. We looked at re-designing the stlye of the paper for mobile consumption, using bold imagery and strong colour schemes. This was a year long project, and along with extensive user testing and wireframing, I was involved in providing design content for the on-going updates and advetising the launch.
Along with this, I created base template cards, which can be populated with news stories in different styles, such a bold background with a tinted photo. This allowed the editors to create seemingly unique articles, even though the design was actually the same.
